Lily Ellis, a 14 year old girl about to enter high school in Jamestown, NY, recently hit a hole-in-one. That's quite an accomplishment. What makes it even more impressive is that Lily did so with only one arm. Lily was born with one arm and has developed a good swing, which is something that many two-armed golfers would gladly accept.
Nice to hear about these accomplishments, hopefully many will be inspired by this. I know the cliche of 'turning lemons into lemonade' is overused quite a bit, but it is still great when you see it in action. Keep hitting 'em long and straight, Lily... Thanks for the posting, Christie...
Very cool to see stories like this, the blind older woman who accomplished the same feat fairly recently, and the child that did it with the Spongebob ball. Pretty inspiring for this young girl to be able to overcome something big like that to pursue something she loves too.
Just makes me feel even worse about my own golfing ability...but that doesn't take much.
I was seriously thinking about Ladies Night tonight. It's supposed to thundershower, so maybe I won't be able to. The closest I've come to a hole in one on our par threes is two shots. Thanks Christi and Lily, for showing me there IS hope.
Great story. My first time golfing I was in a 18 hole tournament with work many years ago and I won a trophy. - Most Honest Golfer I would probably win it again if I was in another tournament
yeah she has done what most tour players have never done. that takes a lot of skill, talent and luck. she is very fortunate and she'll have stories to tell her grandchildren one day. very positive story
Very inspirational, proves you can do anything if you want to. I've never played golf but I know some that have played for years and never got a hole in one.

You should see ME golf. . I'd throw my own clubs in the lake if my dad hadn't bought them for me. He'd kick my a**.
