Greg Paulus invited to Duke football tryouts as a wide receiver

Yet another football team is interested in Greg Paulus. This one might be a smoother transition.

First, it was the Green Bay Packers. Then, Michigan expressed interest. Now, the Duke football coach has invited former Duke point guard Greg Paulus to try out for the team as a wide receiver. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

Michiganwould make the most sense for him. 1 year of football eligibility shouldn't be spent wasting a year in the horrible Duke football program, and Michigan would give him the chance and exposure a guy in his position needs. Kind of like a reverse Charlie Ward Paulus is turning out to be, but this will be news until he decides. With spring practice having already started, Paulus needs to hurry up though, and he still would need some fine-tuning in the UFL.

I believe you mean Arena Football League 2 (yes, there is an arena football minor leagues).

No, I mean UFL. The Arena Football League's required and sucessful skillsets don't often translate into NFL success, of which the UFL seems to be set on mirrorring. Paulus needs some seasoning, that's for sure, but going to a big time college program for a year would be a very good start.
