Hester Will Play in Anticipated Shoot-Out Against Arizona

He will remain "questionable" on the injury report, but Devin Hester will play in the Bears crossroads game against Arizona tomorrow.  A Chicago win would place the Bears at 5-3 at the season's mid-point, but a loss would mean a disappointing 4-4 record.

Hester has been recovering from an ankle injury he suffered against the Cleveland Browns last Sunday.  Although I don't see the speedster as a #1 receiver, the Bears are just now beginning to develop weapons for Jay Cutler.  This makes Hester's presence very important.  Furthermore, I expect that both teams will score early and often, it will be important to have everyone available.

It is still unclear whether Hester will return punts.  If not, Earl Bennett is likely to take over for him.  Expect the Bears and Hester to play with a kind of desperation on Sunday.  Their season depends on it.

I highly doubt this will be a shootout.  Ron Turner is the wrong Offensive Coordinator for that.  He needs to go.  Proof is in the pudding....
The Bears currently rank 20th in the NFL in total yards. In Ron Turner’s previous eight seasons as offensive coordinator, the Chicago offense finished 29th, 15th, 27th and 26th from 2005-08 and 28th, 23rd, 9th and 21st in his first stint from 1993-96.
I'm glad Hester is playing, contrary to popular belief, he is the Bears #1.  Go Bears!

If Hester is 100%, the Bears should play him. However, I just dont see a shootout, thanks to Ron Turner being the Bears' OC IMO.

You could be right, but I'm not impressed with either defense, so I expect a high-scoring game.

I don't think AZ can move the ball on the bears. They are too predictable.

I think Hester should continue playing the way he started in his first year. It seems like rookies always have something to prove the first year and accomplish but the next couple of seasons they feel like they don't have to put out as much. It kinda sucks because I was really excited when Hester returned the football for a touchdown at the SuperBowl. Hopefully he will put out as much effort this year.

I hope you're right, Cory.  My fear is that if Warner starts slinging the ball all over the field, the Bears have no answer.  Cincinnati just abused the Bears cornerbacks and safeties.

Yeah, that's true but I'd expect Lovie to have learned from that and they'll be much better against AZ.
