Fearing the physical health (and presumably mental) of their players, Oscoda High School in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan has canceled the remainder of their season.
Having been outscored 164-0 in its first four games, head coach Kyle Tobin felt compelled to point this out, "When you go to a game on Friday night and see a team physically dominated, those are the indisputable facts."
Not a single player on the team or parents asked for the cancellation. "All I ever wanted to do was play football, My teammates never felt so unsafe that we didn't want to be out there," said the team's quarterback.
Oscado High School administration needs to look to the college ranks for inspiration. The Temple Owls are 34 point underdogs to Vanderbilt ... yes Vandy and they're not quitting.
