Great move by Texas. When you have an older coach and a guy that promising already on your staff you can't afford to lose him.

It was a high in the sky hope.

I will hold out hope that Muschamp might be one of those coaches who is a lot better at coaching defense and won't be a great head coach.

Maybe. It sounds like a good idea, but unless Mack Brown retires soon, I doubt it. Doubling his salary is fine, but Muschamp is too hot to play second fiddle for too long. He may not go to another school, but some pro teams are going to be in hot pursuit.
