The Rockets are in a bit of a predicament with T-Mac. He still has some ability, and his contract is huge. So they want him, but they really don't, because they would like to unload that contract.
They can do that, however, as they prepare for the incredibly hyped 2010 free agent class, which might be their best bet. But Yao Ming might walk away as well. BUT... judging by Yao's history of injury, that might not be such a bad thing, other than the fact that they would have to rebuild like crazy.
So the Rockets are on a precipice... somewhere between the desperate need to win now, and building for the future, which they might have to do anyway.
What should they do?
