Howard wins Sporting News Player of the Year

In a sign that the NL MVP award may not be as close as we imagined, Ryan Howard was a runaway choice by the Sporting News as POY.
However, Albert Pujols finished third to David Ortiz which is a decent sign that SN might just be making noise instead of thinking straight. I would expect Ortiz to finish 3rd or 4th in the AL Vote let alone 2nd overall.
I'd been pushing Ryan Howard most of the last month, but by the time the playoffs started I convinced myself Pujols is the man. Does this vote make you think Howard is the run away choice?
