Iraqi detainees use Brett Favre to kid Wisconsin troops
Brett Favre has become a psychological weapon for Iraqis, which I think means we've officially lost the war.
This is something so ridiculous, it's impossible to make up. At a Wisconsin National Guard camp outside Baghdad, detainees have learned the effectiveness of bringing up Brett Favre to taunt the soldiers. Simply incredible.

"They know Favre by name," said First Lieutenant Tim Boehnen, who is from New Richmond, Wis.

"One of the big words they know now is shenanigans. They'll constantly talk about 'Favre shenanigans,' 'He's so good for the Vikings,' and 'The Packers have got to really feel bad about that one.' "

"They obviously then started up the conversations, and started talking about Brett Favre. They soon learned about Favre going to the Vikings, and things just started going downhill from there."

Psychological torture is illegal in war, isn't it? For God's sake, let's bring those poor boys from Wisconsin home as soon as possible.

the fact that Wisconsin-ites can get rattled by this is more proof that they are selfish about Brett Favre.

In a related story, Favre was used in a meeting as an example of "good leadership." I value my job just enough not to run out of the room screaming.

Yes, the issue is, if Packer fans can really let that hurt them enough to get in the way of doing their job, a very important job by the way, it is only further proof they've gone over the edge in their personal connection to a football team.  I get in a bad mood when my team loses for a bit and I usually just find something more important to think about, like family or real life and then it all fades.  I've never allowed it to get in the way of my work life, however.  (outside of a little jawing back and forth with Packer fans I've worked with)
