Before this season, it would have been crazy to compare Florida QB Tim Tebow to Florida St. QB Christian Ponder but now that we have seen each play a few games, is Christian Ponder a better QB this season than Tim Tebow?

Andrew Carter of the Orlando Sentinel broke down each QB's stats this season and actually found that Christian Ponder is putting up better numbers than Tebow and against better defenses.

He also proposes that Tebow has benefited greatly from having one of the best defenses in the nation, while Ponder has the 99th ranked defense playing with him.

So what do you think, is Christian Ponder actually the best QB in the state of Florida?

tebow doesnt nearly have the stats he did during his heisman year, plus he wins games because of his defense. his offense only managed 13 points against lsu, the florida defense responded with holding the tigers to 3. his defense has helped win a lot of games. the NC against oklahoma is another example. they held the number 1 scoring offense to 14 points.

Random thought....Doesnt the disdain people have about Tebow kinda feel simular to the disdain people have to Favre. What can we attribute this to?? Overexposure....If the player is that great let their play do the talking and their actions, we dont have to hear how great they are all the time, or hear about how they are carrying their teams. Remeber there are two sides of the football, and both help you win games not just one guy on one side of the ball.
