Isiah Thomas Leads FIU To Exhibition Loss To An NAIA Team
Isiah Thomas Is Back And He Still Sucks!
READ MORE:
We all remember Isiah Thomas, right?  A legend at Indiana and an NBA all-star and HOFer with Detroit. Since then, things haven't been so great for Thomas.  He literally killed the CBA, got fired as coach of the Pacers, and then went on to run the Knicks into the ground as coach and GM while picking up some sexual harassment lawsuits along the way.  Inexplicably, Thomas was hired as head coach at Florida International University last spring.  And he got off to a, ummmm, not so great start last night, losing an exhibition game to an NAIA team!

Congrats FIU! You've got yourself a real winner!

People think just because you play a sport at a Hall of Fame level that you should be allowed to be a commentator, GM, president, or coach in that sport.  Zeke was an NBA legend, but he is destructive when it comes to coaching or running a franchise. So is Kevin McHale (Destroyed the T-Wolves). So is Matt Millen (Destroyed the Lions, currently destroying commentary) .  So is Michael Jordan (Drafted Kwame Brown). Most players in sports who have decent careers end up being solid head coaches - Nate McMillian, Doc Rivers to name a few.

Well, O.J. Simpson immediately comes to mind but, aside from him, I agree completely!

Does anyone remember when Isaiah coached the Pacers to the Eastern conference finals and or NBA finals, I cannot remember which, but he had a period of 3 yrs that he was successful. He was fired when Larry Bird came in as President, and we all know the history with them. Yes, he did a terrible job in NY and with the CBA, but Look at what Larry has done in Indiana, no one is riding him for  losing the last 6 yrs, since firing Zeke. We really should stop jumping on every band wagon that the media wants us to. Pay more attention to the facts instead of the hype. Zeke is not alone; ie. MJ, Larry Brown, Larry Bird, Kevin Mchale trading KG to Boston, Matt  Millen. Doc Rivers was also being targeted by the media until Ray and KG came to town.

Makes me glad Julius Erving is not a head coach.

I can't remember seeing someone ruin their legacy so much AFTER they retired -- without actually killing someone.

Still not as bad as Syracuse losing to LeMoyne. FIU has no history of major success, certainly no NCAA championship like Syracuse has and certainly no coach like Boheim.
