, Danny Green led the way with 20 points, while Tim Duncan was solid with 19 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots. Manu Ginobili chipped in with 18 off the bench.The Spurs led by one heading into the 4th, and raced out to a 13 point lead after scoring the first 12 points of the quarter. Golden State responded with a 13 - 0 run of their own to tie the game with six minutes to go. Both teams alternated baskets down the stretch. San Antonio led 91 - 90 with half a minute remaining. Jack hit a clutch three to put the Warriors up 93 - 91 with seven seconds to go. The Spurs immeadiately responded with a lay up by Manu Ginobili, assisted by Tim Duncan on a well executed backdoor cut to the rim, sending the game into overtime.
In overtime, Jack scored seven of his 30 points, including a key jumper and clutch free throws in the final minute to essentially seal the game. Afterwards, Jack spoke about Coach Mark Jackson instilling confidence in him down the stretch.
Jack: "There was a point in time in the fourth quarter and overtime where Coach yelled at me and told me to get to my spot and take us home. I love him for having that confidence in me. I just tried to come back and deliver for him."
And did he ever. Coach Jackson also spoke regarding his premier punch of the bench.
Jackson: "With all due respect to what Jamal Crawford has done for the Los Angeles Clippers, and with all due respect to what J.R. Smith has done for the New York Knicks, Jarrett Jack has been the best sixth man all year long."
