I think it is respectable that the US finished in the top 4...especially considering the last go round. Hopefully they will continue to improve so that eventually we wil be back on top.

Congrats to Japan!

Until we take this WBC seriously like we did with basketball and the Olympics, we won't win.  Hell, I don't know if we'll ever win because so many of the great players are from other countries.  Also, most kids want to play basketball and football these days.  With all that said, 4th place is pretty good considering all the injuries we sustained.

another great WBC. showing how baseball (other than soccer) is a universal sport and this brings it out during the WBC. Can't wait for the next one. Once complaint, how come they didn't show the earlier rounds?

Fourth is not too bad but what we really need is first. Atleast our players can get back with their tems now.

I was lucky enough to get most of the games on TV.  While some were not so exciting, last night's final was an excellent, well played technical game.  I wasn't at all surprised to see it tied after nine and have to go to extra innings.  The surprise was that it was over after ten.

Don't kid yourself, the title of this article is a backhanded way of saying that Japan couldn't win more than a 1 game series. BS. They'd still have beaten the USA no matter how many games were played, in my opinion, because the USA does not really give a crap about this tournament.

I'd like to point out that though I submitted this story, the editors determine the headline.

Didn't know that was how it worked, but glad you pointed that out to me.

Well, if my headlines are good, they stay, but if they suck, I get a little help. That's why they are called "editors".
