Jason Spitz, the Packers's starting center, has been placed on the injured reserve ending his season. He originally missed practice on October 15th and hasn't played or practice since then. Its uncertain whether the injury just hadn't healed or if it flared up or gotten worse, but regardless his season is now done.
To fill his spot on the team, the Packers signed practice squad member Biren Ealy to the roster. It doesn't appear the Packers actually need another reciever on the regular roster, however there is a slim chance that Donald Driver could miss tomorrow's game at Tampa Bay.
