Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune discusses Jay Cutler and his propensity for comebacks... except when he trails by 14 or more. In those situations, he has never staged a comeback. Perhaps that's too much to ask anyway, but I have a feeling that one of these days he'll pull it off.
If Cutler gets far behind he just starts throwing it up and basically gives up, which is precisely why we had to get him out of Denver. He does not handle adversity well and until he learns to can never be a real leader.

This has got to be one of the dumbest pieces I've read in a long time. So, Cutler is 0-11 when his team is down by 14 points in the 4th quarter. This tells me what, exactly? I'd love to know some other QBs records when down by 14 at that stage of the game. Give us some basis for comparison.
And if you think Orton will lead you to wins when down by 14 in the 4th, good luck to you, sir!

Orton is more likely to, though, considering how much of a risk Cutler is when he falls behind. Orton will take care of the ball and not compound the problem. We've already seen him lead 90+ yard drives this season in the fourth quarter. It's not out of the realm of possibility. But I agree with you that it's WAY too early to say Cutler can never do it. He just needs to be more disciplined and get away from his habits he displayed in Denver of throwing late game INTs at the worst times.
I would rather have Cutler than Orton down by 14 points. With the Bears' weak offensive line, being down is hell though. They have a hard enough time blocking people; if the defense knows a pass is coming, it's a nightmare.
Ok....Wake Up People! It takes both defense and offense to win a game and looking at the scores the defense got destroyed. Cutler might have made some mistakes, but it happens to the best of them. You can't blame the quarterback when the defense lets the other team score 45 points and pray that the offense can keep up with the other team. GO BEARS!!!!!
