Jay Cutler says he's embarrassed by the loss to the Bengals... understandably so.
39
"It's really embarrassing. I'm embarrassed, and I think that everyone in that locker room is embarrassed. The coaches and players are embarrassed. To get down 21-0, then 28-0 ... the guys were still fighting, but ... we were missing some crucial things. Three picks. That's going to hurt us."

To be honest, Jay... your 3 interceptions probably had a lot to do with it. Stop turning the ball over. Seriously.

"Three picks. That's going to hurt us."

Wait, is he talking about the three interceptions he had yesterday, or the three picks the Bears gave up to get him?

I'm just glad that I didn't make the trek to Cincy for that game like I originally planned.  That was a pathetic performance by every single Bear that saw the field.

He should be embarrassed.  The Bengals finally came out and worked a perfect game plan on both sides of the ball.  There were a ton of Bears fans there to witness it.

its okay Jay. The Bengals are known for winning year after year. Damn. That's not true. On second thought you should be embarrassed.

He should feel bad, but I think he's only partially to blame.  They can't run the ball and he has no protection from the O-Line.  This is a crumbling team, and until Cutler has a stronger foundation under him, you can;t fully blame him.  Orlando Pace looks like he's 75 years old out there.

But the Vikings winning the NFC North is not what they are playing for this year. If they go into the playoffs and get knocked out after one game. No one will care that they won the division, it will have been a wasted year.

You should be embarrassed Jay, you and the ENTIRE Bears team, Offense and Defense. Your next game is a home game against the Artist Formerly Known As Derek Anderson and the Cleveland Browns. A winnable game that is!

I had a blast watching the Bengals continually put points up against Cu*tler and the Bears... Just so you Bears fans know, he still does this when he does have a really good offensive line and legit receivers

I agree, they need at least a NFC championship appearance, probably more to some.

It starts from the top-meaning ownership that is still trapped in the 60's.  If you a take a look at the head coaches hired after Ditka they have been the same vanilla guys with the same vanilla attitude and same vanilla game plans.  The slogan "we get off the bus running" is old dated much like some of our players.  This is the old Pace NOT the one who protected Warner in years past.  But ownership shys away from coaches who are to edgey and are more "yes" men the coaches.  Angelo doesn't have a clue and got lucky with Cutler(the jury is still out on this one).  Lovie surrounds himself with coaches who have less of a clue then he has.  Marinelli lost 16 IN A ROW and you hired him to run your defense line???  Matt Ryan last week and Palmer this week didn't have to wash their uniforms cause they never saw the turf.  Only thing that got on their uniforms dirty was the their drool from looking over our defense and it's outdate schemes!  And HE is now callling the defensive plays.  He's the only coach who depends on special teams and defense to score touchdowns in order for them to win.  Now what kind of mentality is that??  And what are you telling your offense?  You had an extra week 2 weeks ago to prepare for ATL & Cincy and the team looks larthagic, lifeless, unprepared and totally out of sync.  Lovie holds no one accountable.  You never see anyone get yanked!  Let me stop my rant, but I am losing my patience!!

Though I doubt they will make it that far. Either having to go through New Orleans or New York to get there.

Let me get this straight...Cutler is embarrassed by his team's play in their loss, but he's not embarrassed by running around with the same haircut as his 8-year old brother?

10/26/09

cutler has been embarrassing himself since he was in denver.

Yes, he should be embarrassed.  What about the O-Line?  Olin and the gang need some serious help.  Omiyale is a tackle by trade.  Move him out of the line up and put Beekman in.  last year with him in the lineup, 3.9 yard per carry.  With Omiyale, it's 2.9.   Each and every lineman are getting blown off the line, like they are a Pop Warner team.  The O-line needs help, D-Line can't generate a pass rush, DB's can't cover, losing the turnover battle, they can't tackle.  LB's look confused, and they are being outcoached.  They need to rebuild.  I'm hoping Mike Shanahan is available next year.

The Bears need to get it all fixed or they won't even beat a terrible Cleveland team that's 1-6. The Bears only stop last week was very late in the 4th quarter. I think our defense needs to improve just as much as our terrible offensive line.

Well this is how i see why the Bears, Defensively are not being productive......it is with the absence of Brian Urlacher!!!! It almost looks like they don't know what they're doing half the time or that they are scrambling around out of position just to try and get into position!! They need a better Middle Linebacker or at least someone who knows what they are doing!!  I AM THE BIGGEST DIE HARD BEARS FAN EVER!!!! I LOVE MY BEARS!!! GO BEARS!!!

I agree that is part of the problem but I also think that their secondary is just too weak. I still think they should pick up Derrick Brooks for the rest of the year though.

If they don't beat Cleveland, they might not get out of Soldier Field alive.  You just have to beat those guys, right?

They better! It just really upset me how they played in Cinci. I know bad games do happen, but geez, make a stop and don't go 3 and out.

The Bears for another season show that they do not have the ability to be consistent, they never can seem to get their whole team to the game together. So often the quarterbacks have taken the heat for the Bears inadequacies, but half the time they quarterback doesnt have any pass protection, our offensive line is completely lame more than half of the time, and Im so disgusted in the way Brian Urlacher is so overrated after all if hes so wonderful what the hell do we have a defensive team for, everyone seems to think if he dont play our defense is sad,and hes nothing really special for quite some time.Maybe the McKaskeys should get off of their wallets and hire some football players,Ive been watching nothing but a bunch of wealthy overpaid bums all season on my set

They were talking about signing him on 670 The Score after Urlacher got hurt but they thought that Hunter Hillenmeyer could do the job just fine. He's still out there for any team to pick up.

Brooks is a strong side LB.  As is Briggs.  Besides, you can argue that Brooks might spend to much time on ESPN's  First Take to be in football shape.   You don't move your best defensive player around.  They have plenty of depth at LB.  They need help at DB and the D-Line amongst other places.  Brooks is not the cure-all!

Lol nope. And it’s not an easy thing either. I catch crap all the time for it but it only makes me dislike them even more. My Dad grew up liking the Colts so naturally I started to like Indy 2. I mean steeler  fans will say that all other fan bases have zero class and all this jibber jabber. But from what I see..and personally get attacked by..they are right up there with them. Like this whole..You live in Pittsburgh and you don’t like the Steelers. How dare you. It’s disrespectful to wear another teams jersey in the Holy Grail that is Heinz field. But yet they are perfectly content and very proud of the fact that there are steeler fans across the whole country. That those darn towels pop up in every stadium. Make sense.... no Hypocritical YES

It really annoys me if you cant tell. I would like to like and watch my team of choice in peace.
Maybe im wrong maybe its like this with every city and every fan base.

I agree with everything you said, Steelers fans are off the wall sometimes, but it's good to talk to a football fan from Pittsburgh with perspective.
