Jay Mariotti will join the Chicago Tribune in August

Horrible news Chicago. Jay Mariotti will soon be back in town working for the Tribune.

Chicago thought it had finally seen the end of Jay Mariotti when he went over to AOL Fanhouse last year. But unfortunately, he's on his way back.

Mariotti apparently is coming to the Tribune in August when his no-compete clause runs out with the Chicago Sun-Times.

Sorry Chicago.

3	Yuck. I feel slimed just reading about Mariotti. He has used his column to denigrate the Chicago White Sox for years. Even Cubs fans thought it was a low-class move.

3	He hasn't left Chicago. He ate at my brother in law's restaurant a few months ago. I may in the minority, but I like Mariotti. He keeps things interesting.

4	Also the guy who condemned a blogger for speculating about Raul Ibanez using steroids, when Mariotti did the SAME EXACT thing to Sosa years ago. In fact, the blogger didn't even say anything half as definitive as Mariotti. What a piece of human waste.
