It was the gasp heard round the world last November. Jimmie Johnson was taken out in a crash at Texas Motor Speedway on lap 3. Sam Hornish got into him, yet on the replay it was David Reutimann who appeared to get into the back of Hornish. Hornish said the 00 got into him, and David accepted the blame, apologizing to Hornish as well as calling Jimmie Johnson several times. However, Jimmie Johnson made it clear this week that HORNISH should've apologized to him because HE was the one who actually hit Johnson. In Jimmie's words, "Still to this day, he has never said a word about [it]. I wish he'd just walk up and say, 'Man, I meant to crash you." Of course he did, Jimmie. Someone paid Sam Hornish to check up so David Reutimann would run into him and in turn wreck you out of the race on purpose. I'm sure everyone thought that at the time, but let's be real about this. Hornish didn't wreck him out, he still won the championship, and the guy that actually caused the wreck called Jimmie to apologize. So why the heck does the 4-time defending champ have to cry over spilled milk and hold a grudge against someone who didn't even cause the accident?
