Jimmy Clausen Gets Pushy With Boston College Player After The Game
After Notre Dame’s shaky 20-16 win over Boston College today, Jimmy Clausen went over to shake the hand of BC player Rich Gunnell. Gunnell was in no mood for consolation though, and he delivered some pointed words in Clausen’s direction. One guess how Clausen reacted to the situation.

Yeah, I saw this when it happened today. I wonder what was said.

Clausen did what the Boise St. player didn't do in the Oregon game, and that was look back to make sure Gunnell wasn't coming up behind for a sucker-punch after the push.  Gunnell definitely started that though.  Clausen seemed to be coming up for a simple handshake and Gunnell just started talking smack as if his team had just won that right instead of Clausen's.  Luckily the exchange ended quickly

Yeah, it looked like Gunnell started it, and we would know a lot more if NBC would have done their job on this story.  Alex Flanagan (or her producers) decided not to ask Clausen about it 5 minutes later.  Instead, we were treated to another simplistic "why are you so calm under pressure, Jimmy" interview.

Gunnell said your coach is a fat a$$ that doesn't know the words to the Notre Dame Fight Song

We would know a lot more if NBC would have done their job on this story was remotely interested in covering the story and not merely orally servicing Jimmy Clausen.  Corrected!

1st, I am not an ND fan. 2nd, I grew up in Boston. 3rd, Rich Gunnell is a punk and Clausen did nothing wrong other than run away after pushing Gunnell.

The next time NBC showed Clausen he was hugging a player with cancer. Aww. what a feel-good moment!  Kill me now...

THERE ARE WINNERS AND LOOSERS IN EVERY GAME. 2 TEAMS PLAY THEIR HEARTS OUT WITH ONLY ONE VICTOR. TENSIONS ARE HIGH, AND ADRENALINE IS PUMPING. SOMEONE ON BOTH SIDES WILL BE TALKING TRASH TO THE OTHER. THEIR ARE NO INNOCENT PEOPLE WHEN THAT GAME IS OVER. YOU WILL ALWAYS HAVE SORE WINNERS AND LOOSERS. BESIDE I'M NOT CHOOSING SIDES, BUT WE DON'T KNOW, IF CLAUSEN PROVOKED HIM OR NOT. THIS WILL GO ON TILL THE END OF TIME.
