Jimmy Clausen is heading to the NFL, and it's only a matter of time before Golden Tate decides to do the same.

Jimmy Claussen has decided to forego his senior season in favor of the NFL.  No big surprise. Jimmy's decision will no doubt lead Golden Tate to do the same.  It is going to be a very long off season and season next year for Irish fans.

According to Scouts Inc., Clausen is the 17th ranked NFL prospect, and the 3rd ranked QB, behind only Jake Locker and Sam Bradford, so this is probably a solid move for him. Despite Notre Dame's rough season, he put up some solid individual numbers, and looked very good in several games. Next year might be even worse for Notre Dame, and he doesn't have a whole lot to gain by sticking around.
