Joe Torre to stay with Dodgers for fourth season

In the midst of the Olympics, it's easy to forget that the first players have reported to early training at team dugouts for the upcoming MLB season.

At 69 years of age, Dodgers' General Manager, Joe Torre, shows no signs of stopping, although he has declined to commit to anything past 2011.  He agreed to stay with the team through this coming year, and the year past, after which he claims he will call it quits.

His efforts with the NLC Los Angeles Dodgers has been successful, as he has guided them to the Championship series in each of the last two years he has been with the team.

The upcoming season will be Torre's 29th season as a major-league manager, in which he has a career record of 2,246-1,915.In 14 consecutive seasons he and his teams have reached the postseason ,  Only Atlanta’s Bobby Cox has matched this major league record.
