Jose Canseco to fight Bill "El Wingador" Simmons in Celebrity Boxing 10
Excellent news boxing fans. Jose Canseco will return to the ring to fight five-time Wing Bowl champion Bill "El Wingador" Simmons. That's not ESPN's Bill Simmons, unfortunately.

Jose Canseco apparently still needs money, because he's coming back to the ring to get his ass beat once again. Although, he might finally win this fight.

Canseco is scheduled to battle five-time Wing Bowl Champion Bill "El Wingador" Simmons in Celebrity Boxing 10. I had no idea that being Wing Bowl champion counted as being a celebrity. You learn something new every day.

Anyway, this is just yet another chance for us to make fun of Canseco, which as always, is great fun.

I believe Hobo St. and Loserville U. played in it this year.

Damn, this is getting awfully close to one of my long-time dreams coming true.  Getting in the ring and having the opportunity to punch Jose Canseco in the face myself.  And note to "El Wingador": Go for the top of the head, that's Jose's main weak spot.

You know you're right. We're all getting closer and closer to "celebrity" status which brings us one step closer to punching Canseco.

I think it's a lot easier to wait until his star has fallen enough that he is on our level of "celebrity" status than it is to wait for our star to rise.  I'll take it either way though, because punching Canseco in the face is a dream that few will come to realize.  But also just saying that he will come crashing down here soon enough if it hasn't already happened at this point.

What is your celebrity level? Kickass commenter on FanIQ and professional beer drinker? I'm probably missing something, like professional bear wrestler.

I will go with all of the above, and thanks for noticing :)

And if I am gauging the values correctly, that may be enough to launch me ahead of Canseco's celebrity status as well.

Now that would be a fight that could be of adequate competition for either guy.  And I bet it would last a combined time of both men's last 4 total fights too.  So if it goes for over 1 minute, mission accomplished.
