Dec 23, 2012; Jacksonville, FL, USA; Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon (14) warms up before the start of the game against the New England Patriots at EverBank Field. Mandatory Credit: Melina Vastola-USA TODAY SportsThe NFL has announced that Justin Blackmon has been suspended 4 games for violating the league's substance abuse policy.

There are no specific details about the exact reason for the suspension, but multiple violations are required for suspension.

ESPN seems to be inferring that it is somehow related to his DUI arrest, but that doesn't seem clear (or possible) in a vacuum.

Last year, Blackmon caught 64 passes for 865 yards and 5 TD in what was a rather awful passing offense for the Jaguars.

This is a huge hit for the Jaguars, who have a slew of problems already, and are poised to once again be a terrible team. The loss of Blackmon certainly won't help anything.
