Wow, it no longer saddens me that he never won an NBA title.

+2 thumbs upKarl Malone was a sophomore in college and the mother was in the 8th grade, at the most.  Karl is an f'd up man.

+1 thumbs upAgain, Like the "father of the Year" story yesterday, This article doesn't answer my question either:  If Malone wasn't in his life and financially supporting him growing up, who did?  My guess is that it was us taxpayers and I am hoping someone will tell me that a multi-millionaire's kid wasn't living on welfare growing up.

It matters not what the circumstances were when Bell was born, to assume the son was after his money was cold. Bell was probably better off as far as a role model is concerned.  The child would have been 7 or 8 years old before the young mother was old enough to find any kind of job that would pay anything, and that would not be enough.  If you are right Chachi, the government should go after Malone for non support.

How would you just assume that the tax payers supported him?

Carefull how you answer here.  Think this one out slowly.

What 2 cowards "PQ'ed my comment above?  You two need to Have a pair in your sack and offer an opinion to explain how a 13 year old mother supports a kid without a check from the government if the multi-millionaire father is a deadbeat.  If that offends you to wonder that, I am going to guess you are 2 dumb school kids who have not yet had the government siphon off a third of your wages yet.  By the way, as an attorney, I have done numerous child support cases, and the Mailman would NOT be the first guy who has money to try to shaft us taxpayers with the cost of raising his illegitimate kids ...

+2 thumbs upRespose to Scott Senay:  Let's see:  We have a 13 year old unskilled mother, he Didn't know who father was until late adolescence (No visitation ordered by a Court in exchange for the child support payments in other words), told by Karl too late to be a Dad, go earn your own money, and an inside knowledge of various government assistance programs and who qualifies for each.  It's just enough info to make me wonder if a millionaire athlete/rogaine salesman stuck me with the bill for his kid, and if so, that makes me very angry.

Man.....I had to read the story a second time, and make sure that today's date is not April 1st to believe it's true.     UNBELIEVABLE !!!    He's in college, and 'hooks up' with an 8th grader.    <<He's what, 19 or 20 at the time ??>>    An 8th grader ??!!??!!

(Scary for anyone out there w/ girls....myself included)

And then he 'acknowledges' the other 2.    Obviously because he didn't want the world to know he "hooked up" with an 8th grader !!     Sick....just sick.

I hope this kid makes the Bills team, has a successful NFL career, and makes a great life for himself and his family................Mailman NOT included !!

+1 thumbs upAre we surprised that pro athletes can be shady?  With all the time they spend on the road, and all the free time they have,  I am surprised we don't hear more stories like Clemens, Malone, Shawn Kemp, etc....
