Kellie Pickler and her two newly purchased friends aren't entirely awful. That is, until she starts talking.For whatever reason, Kellie Pickler was asked to be in attendance for country night at Wrigley Field. She sang the national anthem which was fair. Then sadly, she joined the Comcast booth for the 7th inning stretch. I struggled with whether or not to change the channel. Turns out, I too, enjoy watching train wrecks.
Here's just a few of her gems tonight in the booth with (poor poor) Len Kasper and Bob Brenly (both fighting back openly laughing her:
"They call that the outfield, right? Sometimes I get that mixed up with racing. 'Cause you know, because we have an infield in racin' but you don't go camp out on the baseball field."
"They should have a baseball team called The Pickles."
When it was pointed out she had red high heels on, "It's great, because they match the jersey!"
"This is good popcorn!"
"I almost said Apple Jacks instead of Cracker Jacks," said Pickler. (She did biff the peanuts and Cracker Jacks line, asking for popcorn, instead). She capped her half inning with, "They don't sell milk at ballgames do they? Wouldn't go good with the beer, would it?"
Let's hope there's video in the morning, this doesn't give it full justice. Len and Bob could barely hold it together. It's the first time in my life that I've rooted for the Cubs to ground out on three straight pitches.
My question is whether she's really this stupid, or somehow bright enough to play up her stupidity?
