Well, the three team deal with McGrady getting shipped to the Knicks (via the Kings) has happened, and it should be pretty clear what's going on here.

At first glance, the Rockets getting Kevin Martin, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries, and Knicks draft picks until 2078 looks like the Rockets made out like bandits. And they did. The Kings landed Carl Landry (good), Joey Dorsey (eh) and Larry Hughes (horrible). No quite sure what they're doing.

Of course, you're probably saying but what about the Knicks?! They suck now. All they have is T-Mac and, uh, David Lee.

Well, it's all part of the plan. By trading Hill and Jeffries, the Knicks clear enough salary-cap space to potentially allow them to sign two star free agents this summer. Which would mean LeBron and....I guess the popular thought is Chris Bosh.

Anyway, this is some serious high stakes poker the Knicks are playing. We'll see if they cash in or not later this year.
