New York Jets defensive end Shaun Ellis was fined $10,000 by the NFL for throwing snow at fans following the team's loss at Seattle on Sunday. Considering we've had players end guys' season's with cheap hits that only resulted in $10,000 fines, this seems a tad hefty.
I think the NFL was going to fine him just $500 for throwing a snowball, but when they saw it was a snow boulder they just charged him with throwing twenty . . .
I don't think that he would have been fined for throwing a regular snowball...... he got fined for tossing a snowbank!!! That thing was as big as a pumpkin!!
It's that Seattle *fan mentality. If they don't win.. they rank up there w/the rudest most unsportsmanlike fans in sports! They have to escort people out of there all the time because of *fan attacks* Kinda ridiculous! Sure, I'll take that drink you bought me... OK now your team is beating mine so I have to pummel you! Tho this article didn't mention it, they were (the players) all warned before the game to please NOT respond to the fan *attacks* It should have been a *all in good fun* but no one there would let it go so easily!
