Kubiak has Made his OC Choice for the Texans

The Houston Texans have picked their man to lead their offense next season.  Hopefully, Rick Dennison is as enamored with them as they are him.  The current OL coach of the Denver Broncos will let the Texans know later today if he is going to accept their offer to become the next offensive coordinator.

Texans head coach Gary Kubiak wants a smooth transition from former OC Kyle Shanahan, who is joining his father with the Washington Redskins.  Dennison is the man for the job according to Kubiak. “"Rick and I played and worked together for so many years in Denver. I tried to bring him with me when I was hired here (in 2006). I believe he's the best man for the job. He and (his wife) went home to talk about it with the rest of the family. Rick's been in Denver a long, long time, and he's got a lot to think about…He went home with a contract in his hands."

I’ll admit right up front that I’m a Texans fan, and I hope Gary Kubiak is successful as the head coach of this team next year. Being as objective as I can be, I think Kubiak made a good choice. Hopefully, Dennison and his family agree, and the fact Kubiak is basically operating on a one-year contract won’t scare him off.
