LaDainian Tomlinson says that it's no big deal that he's turning 30
Turning 30 is no big deal for NFL RB's, says the NFL RB who's turning 30
LaDainian Tomlinson has reached an age where many RB's have started to fizzle out. Will he be another one? Or will he have a productive career after 30?

He, of course, is taking the optimistic view. But there's probably a reason the Chargers want to keep some extra backs in their backfield.

He's played 16 games each of the past three seasons, but the production has fallen from 2300 total yards to 1900 to 1500. Much of that can be thanked to Rivers who became a Pro-Bowl caliber guy and seems ready to have some breakout campaigns. Tomlinson meanwhile has been forced to watch the last two Chargers' playoffs oustings from the sidelines. It's safe to say injury has taken its toll, and he should be very happy to put up another 1,300 yard season, which I don't think he will.

I think Tomlinson is still very capable of being a sucsessful running back.  I know he has confidence in himself because he said 30 ain't a problem and whoever has confidence can do anything.

he is one hard working player so he will indeed not bail out but im not saying he is but if he does they still have Darren Sproles

I seriously doubt LT will fizzle out. The Chargers need him.
