This was arguably the most boring overtime game in NBA Finals history. The quality of play for both teams was terrible in the first quarter, and only got slightly better as the game went on.
The Magic had a chance to win it as time expired in regulation, but Hedo Turkoglu's alley oop to Courtney Lee didn't give him quite enough room, and he had too much momentum to bank it in off the glass.
Not surprisingly, Kobe Bryant led the way for the Lakers with 29 points, and Pau Gasol chipped in with 24. Rashard Lewis led all scorers with 34 points, but it wasn't enough.
The series will go back to Orlando now for games 3 and 4.
