Lebron, Cavs Courting Ron Artest To Cleveland
The Cavaliers are using the ultimate recruiting tool to bring in guys like Ron Artest: LeBron James
Boy, if the Cavs could pull this one off they'd have to be the odds on favorites to win it all this season

The Cavaliers are also reportedly going after Trevor Ariza. It looks like they're VERY serious about winning this year.

Starting foward for the 2010-2011 Knicks number 23 LeBron James.

I think they are serious about not losing LeBron after this year...so they are pulling their heads out and getting him some freaking help.

They have made it pretty clear through the Shaq deal that they are going all in for a title run in the upcoming NBA season.  It's not good for their future beyond the '09-'10 season since they only have Mo Williams, Delonte West, and (I think) Daniel Gibson under contract past this next season, but I guess they will worry about that when they need to after the season.  If it works, one championship is enough to make the fans forget about the other things for the time being.  Can't help but wonder where they have the money to sign some of these top FA's though.

Well they already lossed out on CV3, if they could get Ariza or Artest that would be a great addition to their roster.

Big push to keep LeBron in Cleveland........So, does this work if they win a championship? Does LeBron stay if they win or does he say "here you are Cleveland, I got you your championship now I'm off to greener pastures"? Or does he try and turn Cleveland into the new version of the Bulls of the 90's?

Secondly, are the guys they've brought in enough to get this team over the top? Or is this all for not? If it doesn't work is Lebron gone?

I hope they can do it.  Whether Mike Brown can coach a championship team is another question?  If they would meet the Lakers in the Finals, Phil Jackson would make him look bad.

I would like to see that happen.

This just in; Ariza is upset at the Lakers mid-level offer and will most likely be moving on. Cleveland is the most sensible destination. My totally unbiased opinion, NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Too bad no other team can offer Ariza more than what the Lakers did.  Ariza has carved out a nice little niche with the Lakers, one that he wouldn't be able to have in more other places.  Ariza is not a 2, so he would also likely have to come off of the bench on any of the other teams who are reportedly interested in him.  I think he is trying to make a power move to get more money out of the Lakers, and it would be a bad move for him to go most anywhere else.

Signing Artest, Ariza, or Sheed, will keep LeBron in Cleveland. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Dave you're closer than I am. Can you speak with young Trevor before he bolts LA for the glamor and lights of Cleveland? In the meantime, I'll call Nike and see if they can make him the third puppet.

I think that they can win it withough Artest and Ariza.l Adding these two athletes just sky rockets there winning ability off the charts. Come next season the whole world will be saying Kobe who?

Haha, I will do my best.  In Cleveland he would have to come off the bench and wouldn't make any more money, so that doesn't make a whole lot of sense for him.  If you were him, would you rather live and play in Los Angeles or Cleveland?  I think his senses will catch up to him though, if not, he will definitely regret it.

its bulls*** lakers would not let themselves in a position where they couldnt get their championship player and as for cavaliers they still depend on lebron and will always even with addition of shaq
