LenDale White drops 30 pounds this offseason by not drinking tequila
How did LenDale White drop 30 lbs. this offseason? He stopped drinking tequila. Um, good work, I guess.
LenDale White came into Titans camp looking pretty trim at 228 pounds. That's 30 pounds less than where he was at the end of last season. So how did he do it?

He stopped drinking Patron tequila. Seriously.

“I really got to be honest,” White said. “It wasn’t a lot of major diet changes. (It was) watching what I drink. I was a big Patron consumer. ... That’s what it was. I was drinking a lot, drank a lot of alcohol. I cut that out of my diet all the way. I don’t drink at all. I cut the drinking, I stopped drinking for six months. It started falling off.”

Now see, here's my issue with this. I'm glad he lost 30 pounds, but I was always under the impression that hard liquor was what you drank to PREVENT putting on pounds. I mean, one shot of Patron Silver is only 69 calories, so either LenDale White was a raging alcoholic last year or...um, I'm not really sure how to finish that sentence.

Anyway, now that Patron is out of his diet, let's see how he does this year.

If it was Patron (its pronounced Pah trone isn't it) WOW! But my thinking is when he was drinking he was EATING. People sometimes eat a very healthy meal BEFORE drinking to soak up the alcohol and then munch on pretzels, CHEESE, popcorn, chips while drinking. Its the little munch, munch that sneaks those pounds on.

Wait til next training camp when he adds the 30 pounds back. What did you do to gain the 30 pounds back LenDale? Uh, I quit smoking.

This was one fitness-improvement strategy that Maurice Clarett never could get a handle on...

Quitting the bottle may not have directly caused his weight loss, but I'm sure it gave him more energy.

that still isnt going to give him amy more yards....sophomore chris johnson is going to carry a load of yards this year.

I did something similar a few years ago (but I also cut out soda and coffee along with the alcohol) and I lost a ton of weight in a very short amount of time, all while continuing to eat the same unhealthy food.  I don't doubt LenDale lost a lot of weight by cutting superfluous liquids out of his diet with little else changed in his regime.

Good googly-moogly!!! How much Patron did he stop drinking to be able to lose 30 pounds with no dieting!!  I bet Patron profits drop a few points in the next few weeks!!

If he thought about it was the nightly "burrito as big as your head" he had after the Patron.

Uh I'm sure some  folks here that don't drink a lot don't know that cause just like he said.  It's all those sugars and unneeded calories, I'm glad for him.

that's exactly what I'm saying, most of the stuff we drink doesn't do anything for us but add sugar and like you say unneeded calories.  By cutting it out completely you're doing your body a lot of good.  I'm basically just saying that it's not out of the realm of possibility that LenDale's regime, while leaving some skeptical, could definitely yield very good results like he is showing.  You also have to add in the fact that most football players are extremely well-trained and do a lot of exercise every day, and in conjunction with THAT, it's even LESS surprising that LenDale lost so much weight so quickly by quitting his drinking.

He'll be off the wagon once he sees how many more carries Chris Johnson gets over him. Deja vu Bush again?
