Now this story is pretty hilarious. At the Verizon Center in DC, they usually have a Kiss Cam for Wizards and Capitals games. Yet for some reason, they don't have one for Washington Mystics.
Why? Too many lesbians.
I'm actually not kidding. The primary WNBA audience is dads and daughters.....and lesbians. Lots and lots of lesbians. And apparently the team doesn't want the kids watching two women get hot and bothered on the JumboTron.
"We got a lot of kids here," Sheila Johnson, the Mystics' managing partner, said when asked last week at a game. "We just don't find it appropriate."
Frankly, I think that the Mystics should show lesbians kissing. It's about the only way we can be sure daddy's girl will never attempt to become a WNBA player in the future.
