Americans Lindsey Vonn and Julia Mancuso finished 1-2 in the women's downhill event in the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, giving the USA their first ever gold medal in that event.
Vonn overcame a severely bruised shin to take the gold, and made history for the United States. She finished .56 seconds ahead of Mancuso.
