Probably not. But, he's not doing the team any good if he's on the DL. What's the over/under on how many weeks until he's injured?

My guess is late April.

+1 thumbs upEven though he's in the division I'm rooting for Mark Prior to show up the Cubs and have a good season.  Not that they weren't justified in giving up hope, but it's pretty ridiculous that they're giving such a prominent role to Wood who has an equally shaky past.

I wouldn't be surprised if he stays healthy, I just want to know the O/U on how many saves they let him blow.  His stuff isn't electric anymore.

As Cubs closers go...do you want Wood or a Dumpster (I call Ryan Dempster "dumpster")?

I'm a Cubs fan who is very guarded this year

I agree, but at least Wood showed he can still be a serviceable pitcher.  From what I heard, Prior has completely lost his stuff.

Figured I wasn't the only one to call him Dumpster from time to time.

Half the time he actually did get out of those innings, but boy was it always an adventure.

+1 thumbs upWood is from this area, so I wish him well. However, being a Cardinals fan... I didn't say that.
