Major League Soccer has seen the future in how to build a diehard American fan base, and it's hooliganism.

So, how should MLS be marketed in the US to appeal to people? Some people say through hooliganism, others say through family-friendly atmosphere.

I'm absolutely for hooliganism. Why? It would make my blogging life so much easier. Plus, Seattle needs more riots.

2	Not much going on in the Pacific Northwest eh? Soccer? ............really soccer? I have no room to talk in LA, we dont even have a NFL team. What does an Oakland FC look like?

0	I coach soccer for my kids team and thats what it is a kids sport, i mean they actually score 8-10 goas a game. Thats just 1 team not total. I can watch that kind of soccer, but when a high scoring game in the pro's is only about 5 total goals then I'm not going to wate my time.

0	hooliganism will definitely get you all the attention you need,but for all the wrong reasons so i will go with strippers,they get you all te attention and for the best reasons ever ha ha ha!

0	Hoolaganism will get the sport banned in this idealistic country. A nice, family atmosphere would get plenty of fans in the U.S., especially Utah. But I prefer strippers.

Outsiders can deride soccer all you want. Until you go to a Sounders game at Qwest Field you don't know how cool soccer can be. I'm as much an NFL fan as anybody. It's sad so many arrogant sports fans won't give the world's game its due.

0	maybe, but a low scoring and boring one. the kids i coach are only 6,7,8 yr. olds though, so its more chase for most, and running and scoring with friends for the rest.
