I'm sorry that it only took Scott Boras five months to convince you that you were unhappy spending ten years in Boston, making millions of dollars and winning two World Series rings. I enjoyed spending hundred of dollars on tickets to Fenway and even two games on the road in Tampa Bay to see you play. My favorite player on my favorite team, no longer. I know we're all realists and even cynics here when it comes to sports, and we all know it's a business, but there's still a bit of that 11 year old little-leaguer-with-hero-worship part of me that stings a little when stuff like this happens.

Bay is a decent hitter but he never had any years that compare to Manny's. I hope the Dodgers are better off with Manny but at the same time, I'm in different. The Dodgers are notorious for trading good prospects for over the hill veterans (the Tommy Lasorda Syndrome). The Dodgers gave up a good prospect (Laroche) for Manny.
