Marcin Gortat of Magic told by Reebok he must cover his Air Jordan tattoo
What happens when you have an Air Jordan tattoo on your leg but have a contract with Reebok? You're told to cover your tattoo up.
READ MORE:
This may be one of the most ridiculous and hilarious stories you'll hear about today. Marcin Gortat of the Magic has an Air Jordan tattoo on his leg. Yet, he entered into a contract with Reebok, who happened to not take a look at the giant MJ tattoo on his leg.

Now that Gortat is in the Finals, and a Polish newspaper put up a huge picture of his tattoo, Reebok is pissed. They called and asked Gortat either to wear higher socks to cover the MJ ink, or to apply makeup over it so it will not be noticed for the rest of the NBA Finals.

Gortat's response:

'I've been wearing it 4-5 years now, and it helped me get to the NBA. They didn't say anything about it when I signed the contract, so it's not going anywhere. I don't think they are paying me enough to take it off.' [...]

'I've heard from other people that even other players, if they don't know my name, they know I'm the big white guy with the Jordan tattoo,' he said. 'I like that. Reebok will have to get used to that.'"

Awesome.

A tattoo did?  If I tattoo the number 43 on me, can I get into NASCAR?

Really...I was thinking the same thing. I'm going to go get a tattoo of Tiger Woods on my a** so I can play golf with the best of them.....

I'm sure that in his contract with Reebok, it states something about him not appearing in public with any other competitors logos. It's a conflict of interest for him and the company. Reebok is smart asking him to cover it seeing that it's probably in his paperwork that he wouldn't wear/represent/etc other competitors.
