Matt Holliday turns down 100 million, six-year offer from Cardinals

I think the economy has completed recovered. Why? Because Matt Holliday was offered a 6-year, $100+ million contract by the Cardinals, and he's reportedly turned it down. One reason for that probably has something to do with his agent being Scott Boras.

But seriously, Boras and Holliday are apparently fielding offers from other teams, or at least trying to get the Cards to think that. Remember, earlier this offseason, the Red Sox offered Holliday a five-year, $82.5 million contract, but that offer was rejected too.

So I guess there's a market out there for Holliday in the nine-figure range, but seriously, does he honestly think he can get a lot more than $100 mil?
