Mets G.M. Omar Minaya and manager Jerry Manuel will be back with the team for the 2010 season, team COO Jeff Wilpon said at a news conference at Citi Field today.
Wilpon made the statement of support despite saying that this season was "totally unacceptable" for the organization. The Mets went 70-92, 22.5 games behind the Phillies in the N.L. East.

Meanwhile, Minaya did not deny a report that he has reached out to Kevin Towers and J.P. Ricciardi, the recently fired general managers of the Padres and Blue Jays, respectively, about jobs in the Mets' front office.
