Word is that Michael Vick has agreed to pay $6.5 million to the Falcons to settle their claim against him for Breach of Contract.

Expect the Vick road show to start soon, although not with Vick in tow just yet.

However, let's hope when he does hit the road, that he doesn't wear fur.

He can make his $6.5 million dollars promoting his new film:

I'm sure he will be released in or around July by the Falcons, who can now wash their hands of him.  While the reinstatement issue is a much bigger one, I'm not sure who will take a flyer on Vick if he does get past Goodell.

Who would take Vick?  Can you think of fans in any city that would sympathize with an animal abuser to the point of welcoming him as the face of thier team?  Maybe Oakland.  I would say Dallas, but they have Romo. I say he never starts again.

He is responsibe for his actions and has served and pay'd for it.  Will he be able to supass the his fault and get on with his career is the quetion, and is he ready to play again.  He is not the only one who has comitted these actions I'm sure.  Especially amongst the NFL player, no insult intended.  He is just the one who got  caught.  Too bad,  Wrong Place, Wrong Time...

clearly you haven't gotten mad at the situation.......but if Matt Ryan hadn't come to the rescue how would you feel today? Did you forget the season of pain that was Joey Harrington? Michael Vick didn't care about you (the fan) that's why he was willing to risk it all to watch a few dogs kill themselves for his pleasure. Hes sick, put your personal feelings for the guy aside and realize what he has done

Your post was interruped by Jerry Jones calling Michael Vick on his cell phone.

He doesn't have the money...yet at least, and I doubt he will anytime soon.  He is in debt to his creditors $12 million, and now this is on top of that.  It was originally supposed to be $20 mil he had to pay back to the Falcons.

I'm pretty sure that sounds like a generalization/stereotype.......and I don't really like those. WHy don't you have a conversation with someone before you start making comments. I was talking about the Patriots and not the fan base itself, so it sounds like I have here a Chargers fan and up above I have a former Bucs fan current orphan who are being arrogant and cocky. My name is Brendan. Nice to meet you

People have accepted worse behavior than animal abuse. Plenty of players are guilty of domestic abuse, drinking and driving, manslaughter, etc. and they still found a home in the NFL. I'm not going to be shocked when Vick gets a job too.

And Randy Moss tried to run over a female cop. But he's not sick though, just misunderstood.

Bout as liberal as I would be toward Moss if he tried to run over my mom, or sister, or aunt, or daughter.

Like I said " it is probably no worst than that of about 35 - 40 % of things done illegally or forbidden by NFL player.  As a matter of fact he probably has done the least of the offensive, but he has done something that I do disagree upon.  That does not excuse the fact that he has been pretty much banished from the NFL for something minor in some peoples eyes

First of all Randy Moss is a freak of Nature.......I love that about him. its impossible to say that what vick did is less offensive then what Randy did for 2 reasons.......One, Randy didnt hurt anybody, maybe made himself look like an ass but thats about it.

Second, look at the public outcry for Vick's head. There was no conversation like this about Randy Moss and whether or not he should be allowed back in the NFL. Its not up to you to determine whats offensive, its court of public opinion

I cannot wait for him to comeback and play. I am pulling for him and reading in amazement all you haters.....As I have said before when you have this much compassion, hate, disdain for murders of humans....then I might be with you....but for now it seems as if the uproar is perverted.

People caring more about murdered dogs than murdered people is beyond my ability to comprehend and beyond most people ability to explain, reasonably at least.
Hurry back Mike, A lot of are pulling for you and would pay to watch you play. Not only that, some of us would counter the PETA protest with Screw PETA signs.

It really depends on who you surround yourself with. If all you know are like minded people then you will all do and feel the same. What a boring, predictable world it would be. I know very few people who would not like to see Mike Vick, redeemed and back in uniform. I do not see or even hear the public outcry for anything but the end to such blatant, discrimination.

Yes Discrimination, meaning that until you bitch about all those who have killed dogs under such circumstances, it is a biased reaction. If others have gone on with their life after doing such things and those of you who are complaining the most have not even looked into how many others have done the same, while not complaining as loudly and ferociously then it is bias and discrimination.

Besides this America, the underdog always has a large backing. We like to see people come back. So what is with you?

The same kind of people who took T.O.......PAC MAN..........business men who see an opportunity to make money. Controversy is free publicity. The cameras will be in Buffalo for the first time in a long time this season. Just because of T.O.

Wow you know what generalizations and stereotypes are? Funny how you came at me and talked about my town as a back wood county place without meeting me or introducing yourself, simply because of my distaste for your Celtics. Now you have manners and what to be treated with consideration. Strange how you want for yourself what you have been unwilling to provide to others. You never introduced yourself to me you just hurled insults. I would not call you names but I can sorta see why others would. BTW, Brenda I am Hussain aka cinnalocks. The LAKERS ALL DAY BABY

First of all this is not personal, but I would be remiss if I did not respond.

Man you do not read a lot huh. Jim Brown was/is a woman abuser/beater, the police have been to his house more times than I can recall. I lived in Los Angeles for almost thirty years, where Jim Brown resides and while Jim Brown was a helluva football player, he beat women, as a matter of fact, just like they were opponents on the field. He even threw one women, how later had his child off a third floor balcony.

This again is another example of how people hate without being informed.Plus all the comments here seem out of balance at least on this issue.... Or I guess you are saying it is okay to hit women but not to kill dogs.  You have got to be kidding me right. Do you have a daughter, a sister, a mother? What kind of message is being sent to them. You got another shining example you want to pull out of your posterior?

Does anyone here realize dog fighting and cock fighting is big business.......Thousands participate in the Southern Regions of the USA. They raise them, train them, kill the weak ones, fight them until one dyes and bet on them, everyday. I am puzzled how little some of us venture out of our safe, comfortable, boring and uninformed boxes to see what the masses are doing in other parts of this country let alone the rest of the world.

Me IGNORANT or POMPOUS, YOU are the one who called JIM BROWN A  HERO. That is ignorance. Pompous is not seeing that you do not make the world rotate. Arrogant, why of course I am sometimes. But my head is never in my ass. That is why I knew about Jim Brown, cannot learn with your head buried anywhere. So how did you miss out on Jim Brown's History. Where was your head buried?

Wow....so if I say something in your eyes it means nothing? So why you addressing me, that seems foolish.

IF I SAID IT IS NOT PERSONAL IT IS NOT.

There were several comments I did not agree with and your post is what prompted my post....But the post essentially was directed at anyone and everyone who posted with a negative thought regarding the return of Mike Vick.

You can twist my comment anyway you like, but my point is that women do not think Jim Brown is a HERO and any informed person who has a women in there life would not consider him a hero if he valued the women. If that meant you then so be it. But I did not call you out or make the reference.

Brenda was a reference to him calling me out of name on a past post. And again it was not directed at you personally. What is it to you anyway? I know his name, I know he is a Celtic fan I am a Laker fan, we have had different points of view and moved beyond it as friendly competition. My addressing him this morning was a friendly joust. He did not complain, so why are you? I am not bent out of shape, I seem to be a lot cooler about this than you do. I am laughing as I type most posts, just having fun, initiating thought but all in fun.

The reason I skipped all you said is because it was not worth taking up. It is old hat. It is a new day, he deserves a new shot on the field and now or soon. I am not at all bent out of shape just expressing views that are not always popular. But I will say this before I end. It was me that informed you of your ignorance on Jim Brown, he beat women and he did it as a retired football player in the town I lived in while raising daughters as a single parent. JIM BROWN did not do what he did as a teen and turned his life around later. He was and still is an abuser of women. I do not and never will think that is okay. I am done with this there are other things to discuss other comments to make on other issues.........it really is not personal, there are other people here who just like to see the discussion. You have a good day too.

Funny you guys.................we are having a debate..............but we do get along and respect one another. Sorry to hijack the post. But really how many of you knew about JIM BROWN.
