Michael Vick says he settled for mediocrity with the Falcons

On one hand, I believe him. I don't think he did that much work in the film room, and I think that's why he was never as good a QB as he could have been. He was never a good passer at all, even though he could have elevated his game to another level with some improvement in that department.

On the other hand, I think he might just be full of crap on this one. What's the best way to make himself appear more marketable? Obviously it would be to acknowledge his past weaknesses, and then pretend that he never tried to improve them. That way, people think that he might be able to develop into an excellent passer, and maybe he could live up to the hype.

Bottom line: Vick was never that good, and he never will be. He made some spectacular plays here and there, but his overall production was average, at best. And that's all he'll ever be.
