Mr. 2.7, Larry Johnson, signs a 3-year contract with the Redskins
3/12/10 in NFL
After being released by the Chiefs in the middle of last season, and a few games playing in Cincinnati as a reserve, Larry Johnson is now a Redskin - signing a 3 year deal with the team. The team would not release terms of the deal, but a person with knowledge of the negotiations said Johnson with a base salary of $3.5 million and could be worth $12 million with incentives.
For the Redskins - it's a move for a free agent that was expected, but fans have to be a little disappointed that this is still the only real 'splash' to be made in an uncapped year. Larry also cannot be expected to be a #1 back if the thoughts of Clinton Portis not being with the team to start the season does happen.
