You could make that fuel argument for anything if we're trying to save the world. NASCAR, Formula 1 Indy car etc don't need to use the worlds fuel. NFL, NHL, soccer and many others don't need touse floodlights and the worlds energy resources. Th fans shouldn't drive hundreds if not thousands of miles to watch their favourite sports either, infact while we're at it why don't we just sit arund in the dark all day, saving enegy, not wasting fuel, and lets just all wait for the sun to swallow us up

Again I didn't want to bother reading all of this "article" as it's still only the morning here and I didn't really want to get annoyed so early, but I was a bit irritated just by reading the first 3 lines, Just a daft article

Well now I think you have no clue on what you are reporting on!! If you have ever watched a race they open a VERY big AMERICAN FLAG and they sing Our NATIONAL ANTHEM before evrEy race! If you think that nascar is using to much gas during thier races then you need to wake up and see the reality of the world!! What about all the plains flying throught the skies at any giveing time during one day use more fuel than all of the nascar races do in a year!! Also all the big rigs that travel our nations roads ant any giving hr in one day ? Nacar probably dont even use that much fuel in 5 years!! The cars only hold at one giving time at the most 20 gals. I bet the car you drive runs on gas and how much do you use in a week Mr.Bleacher,and your family as well? How many time do you fly from place to place to cover your subjects that you report on? Every time you get on that plan think of how much fuel that plain use just to take off and take you where you are going!! If you want to complain about the amount of fuel used at an nascar car race then stop and think of how many cars are on the roads at any giveing time during any giving day!! Nascar does alot more good for the people who need it such as OUR MILITARY PEOPLE,and THE LESS FORTUNATE PEOPLE AND CHILDREN then most any other sport!! Look up the VICTORY JUNCTION CAMP and see whwo sponsers it!! Get a grip on life and see the Whole Picture and not just the Stupid little things you think are so bad to the economy and the world oil useage!
