It's finally here, the NBA Finals. Triple Threat is here to take you through the final battle for the Larry O'Brien trophy.
Spurs win 4th title in 9 years You may not like the Spurs (and most don't), but you have to give them their props after they defeated the Cavs 83-82 to sweep their way to title #4. They did it despite getting just 12 points from Duncan. For that, the Spurs can thank Finals MVP Tony Parker (24 points) and FBS (27 points, including 13 in the fourth, and clutchness from three and the foul line). For a few minutes, it looked like the Cavs might get that mercy win, leading for the first time in the second half. However, thanks to an FBS three, some big putbacks from Oberto, and clutch foul shooting at the end, San Antonio was able to hold on.
There just wasn't much Cleveland could do. They were outclassed from every angle, and proved they were the worst team the Spurs played all postseason. We'll see how they try to improve in the offseason, a tough task given their albatross contracts (Big Z, Hughes, Jones). The NBA, meanwhile, must do something to keep next years Finals from this bad. With Oden and Durant going West, the conference disparity is not going away any time soon.

Not wanting to jinx myself, I didn't post the standings. Sorry to anyone who would've wanted to see the standings, but hey, at least my strategy worked.
