NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NCAA sue Delaware for trying to make sports betting legal

Suddenly every major sports league is suing Delaware for trying to trying to get sports betting made legal.

The state of Delaware has an $800 million deficit, so to generate money, they've decided to try and make sports betting legal. I love their plan.

The NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and NCAA don't. So they're all suing Delaware.

Considering all of these leagues, with the possible exception of the NHL, owe a lot of their success over the years to gambling (especially the NFL and tons of boring-ass NCAA games that no one would ever watch unless they could bet on them) this is a bit hypocritical.

Is it really going to matter that much if a dude in Delaware can bet on a 49ers/Cowboys game? Not in my mind. But all these leagues say betting on games will hurt the integrity of their sports.

Right, because admitting Michael Vick back into the NFL clearly doesn't hurt integrity. Only gambling does.

Gambling is the easy way out for States trying to solve economic issues. Why use your brain and possibly have to reduce positions in government and huge salaries in politics, when instead you can simply build another casino or sports book and let more people develop debt and loss of family. Gambling is not the cure for long term financial freedom for States. I speak from personal experience, having a gambling issue is nothing to laugh about.
