NHL considering adding a 2nd Toronto team
Introducing, possibly, the newest NHL Team... the Toronto Legacy?
READ MORE:

A group is trying to lure in a 2nd Toronto NHL team for the 2012-13 season, but they already have a logo and jersey. What's your opinion on all of this. I don't mind another franchise in Canada, and the logo and jersey is average.

Yes, they are.  They're facing bankruptcy. We'll see who rescues them.  The Panthers are in the same boat.

Jim Balsillie is still trying to get the Coyotes to Ontario, but he is proposing they play in Hamilton at Copps Coliseum - he has already secured a long term lease with the arena.  Price he offered for the team is $212.5 million.  They go to court on Tuesday to find out if Judge Baum will allow the team to move.

That sounds like the best idea so far.

So how are they gonna finance that stadium? Is it private, or public?

I don't want a team to be the Leaf's 'Little Brother'. I want a team in Toronto to be the competition and to hate, despise, and be vile to. Kinda like NYR/NJD/NYI. Not a team to be buddies with. Who the hell is controlling the marketing for this? Get some balls man!

I can see this as more fuel to feed the fire of competitive spirit in Canada. This will definitely cause a huge rivalry as opposed to a little brother spirit.

The NHL has no such intentions as this would be an expansion team, this group is just letting it be known they have the capital and are ready .

This would cut money from an already struggling team.
