Following a star-studded ceremony, the Nascar Hall of Fame has officially opened its doors to the public.  The 150,000 square foot building is a shrine of memorabilia and exhibits with 154 video screens, racing simulators and interactive activities for all ages to have fun with.  The city of Charlotte spent almost $200 million dollars on the project and is billing it as the biggest and most technologically advanced Hall of Fame in professional sports.

The first Hall of Fame class will be inducted on May 23.  That class includes Nascar founder Bill France Jr, seven time champion Dale Earnhardt, Junior Johnson and Richard Petty.
