This fight wasn't as great as the Smith-Radach fight.

Age takes a toll, when you are a fighter and aging, it is double tough. It is impossible to predict when you will just not have it. It leaves and re appears as you get older. As an athlete you want to get the most out of your body, and your time, knowing that the moment is fleeting, day by day. You see it in those around you, who no longer show up to compete, becoming willing observers. One day as we have all seen, it just is not there and it never comes back. The show is over. I think that is what we saw last night with Frank Shamrock.

In other news, that is what we saw in Winky Wright vs. Paul Williams last night as well. Williams was clearly better, Wright looked old. It is too bad that most of the top talent in boxing dodged Winky for most of his career. If he would have been able to fight top talent in his prime, I think he'd be where a guy like Shane Mosely is now in terms of legacy.
