College basketball season is right around the corner and the Player of the Year awards keep coming to Norman as the Sporting News named the Sooners star Sophomore Willie Warren the Pre-Season Player of the Year.

Warren was named Big 12 Freshman of the Year last year and made the Freshman All-American team. With Blake Griffin in the NBA now, Warren steps in as the unquestioned leader and best player of the Sooners and as we saw against Kansas and Texas last season, Warren is more than capable of lighting it up from the field.

0	Yeah, ol' Willie is a force to be reckoned with to be honest!!..He's gonna give the NCAA hell this year before he hits the league!!..Speed, size, quick first step, terrific floor vision....Once he straightens that jumper out and keeps that elbow in consistently...whew!!....... it's gonna get real ugly!!! Pay attention hoop fans !!

The Big 12 will be loaded this year with talent. Kansas and Texas are top 10 teams with Oklahoma being right on the edge of the top 10.

0	OU is going to be good, but UT will win the Big 12. I think Kansas will find a way to fall a step behind, even though with their talent they shouldn't. Player of the year? Don't count out the ACC Pre Season Player of the Year Kyle Singler. If he can deliver for Duke, he'll get a lot of votes.
