Oklahoma Sooner basketball admits major violations--again--and asks for mercy

The University of Oklahoma has admitted that its men's basketball program committed two major rule violations and asked for the NCAA to take it easy on them, despite this being it's second major infractions case in the last 5 years.

In the latest case, the school said former assistant coach Oronde Taliaferro broke NCAA rules by failing to report that a player had received an impermissible extra benefit and by lying to Oklahoma and NCAA enforcement staff during the investigation
